The Prato Family's First YouTube Video!!!

We had our first experience in the batting cage today! Anthony taped Angelo and did a great job. Angelo was apparently unaware of the large yellow balls coming his way. When Anthony was in the batting cage, he actually did well; he hit half of the balls. But Angelo, not so well, as you can see. I think this video is funny. Don't you?

Paradise Valley Fishing Preserve
   Rain threatened but never came.
   It was chilly but comfortable.We were the first fishermen to arrive at the lake and many admired our fishing prowess.
   This trout is probably the biggest fish I ever caught. Anthony reeled it in, and Grandpa was there to help out. Afterward, I brought the kids to Shohola Falls.

Ferris Wheel, Queens County Fair, 9-17-11

I am embarrassed by and yet proud of the following video.

Let me begin by saying that I am deathly afraid of heights. But Anthony wanted me to come on the ferris wheel with him so of course I consented. In addition to the nervousness I felt, there was a lady on the ferris wheel behind us and she kept joking with me, saying things like, "you're such a baby." She was relentless! But guess what? Anthony and I both calmed down--well, Anthony did, at least. And we wound up having a GREAT time on the ferris wheel. In fact, I will go on it again, as long as it is not higher than the one I went on today.

We did it, Grandpa! You were worried, but we went out on my boat at Orchard Beach Lagoon, and the kids had a great, safe time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The photo of me and my sons on the horse statues was taken on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at the "horse park," as Anthony calls it, near my house in Maspeth. The second photo was taken on Friday, July 29, 2011, the day before my son Angelo's 4th birthday. As his present, I took both of my sons out on a boat in Long Island Sound. We had a great time. Anthony caught two snappers and Angelo helped drive the boat. The video beneath was a great day, Thursday, August 25, 2011. What a great day! Despite the bad weather, we got to the beach, ate lunch, and then the rain cleared up and we went in the water. The boys were extremely patient and well-behaved. The video above was shot on Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Rockaway Beach. It rained that day, but the weather cleared up for 2 hours, just enough time to enjoy the beach.
